1. How can I get MAHA Card? What are the applicable charges?

To get Maha Card you just have to follow the below mentioned simple steps:

    a) Visit your nearest Nagpur Metro station and request for the MAHA Card at the counter.
    b) Fill your details in the simple Application Form and submit it to the operator.
    c) After entering the details by the operator, One Time Pin (OTP) will be generated and sent to your mobile number provided in the application.
    d) Share the OTP for validation, pay the card issuance fee and top-up amount to load balance on the card for usage.

Applicable charges for the Maha Card would be as mentioned below:

2. What are the documents required for getting the card issued?

For getting the card issued, you are mandatorily required to visit your nearest Nagpur metro station with one of the following OVDs (Officially Valid Documents):

    a) Passport Number
    b) Voter ID
    c) Driving License Number
    d) NREGA Job card
    e) Letter issued by the National Population Register, containing details of Name, Address, or Any other document as notified by the Central Government in consultation with the Regulator

Note: “Customer can voluntary submit their Aadhaar Card number" for getting the card issued.

3. How can I use my MAHA Card at Nagpur Metro stations?

MAHA Card has a unique feature of Stored Value balance which can be used across Nagpur Metro. Transactions in off-line mode are executed from the Stored Value balance in the card. Step-by-step procedure to be followed for using MAHA Card for Metro rides is as under:

    a) Visit your nearest Nagpur Metro Station. Tap the card at the Entry Gate and as the gate opens, proceed to the platform for boarding the metro.
    b) After completing the journey, tap the card again at the Exit Gate of destination station.
    c) The fare amount for the journey undertaken will be debited from the stored value balance on the card.
4. How do I check the balance available on my Metro Card?

Visit your nearest Nagpur Metro Station and tap your MAHA card on the Ticket Readers (TRs) installed at metro stations. Information regarding the card balance and the last five transactions will be displayed on the screen.

5. How can I top-up my card? What is the Maximum and Minimum limit for topping up of card?

You can reload the balance on your MAHA Card through one of the following modes of top-up:

i. At Nagpur Metro Stations: You can top-up/recharge your card by paying in cash or by using debit/credit card at any of the Nagpur Metro Stations.

ii. Through Online Channel: You can also top-up your card online by visiting the customer portal at https://transit.sbi/. Visit the nearest Nagpur Metro station and tap your MAHA card on the Ticket Reader (TR) installed metro stations. Information regarding the card balance and the last five transactions will be displayed on the screen. Please note that the top-up done through online payment gateway channel will be updated on the card as and when the card comes into the contact with Ticket Reader.

6. What is threshold limit for balance on the card?

The threshold limit for balance on the card is a maximum of Rs 2000 (Rupees Two Thousand Only)

7. What should I do if my card is Stolen, Lost or Damaged?

If your card is lost, stolen or damaged, please follow the below mentioned steps:

i. Report the information immediately at Metro station Customer care counter OR SBI Contact Centre on 1800 1234 & 1800 2100 (toll-free) or 080-26599990 OR login to Customer Portal to block the card.

ii. The Contact Center executive will ask for identification details, e.g. Mobile Number, date of birth, etc. On receipt of the information, your card will be blocked to ensure that it is not being used fraudulently by any unauthorized person. A ticket number will be sent to your registered mobile number, after blocking of the card. Please do not share your PIN or CVV (Card Verification Value) with any one including Contact Center executive.

iii. Visit your nearest Nagpur Metro station for Card Replacement and submit a simple application for the same. After ensuring that your previous card has been blocked, a fresh replacement card will be issued to you.

Yes, Mobile QR Ticket can be purchased online through Nagpur Metro App.

12. Can I enter from any station other than the station from where I purchased the Single Journey Ticket?

No.

13. Can I extend my journey beyond the original destination?

Yes, if you are a Single Journey Ticket holder, the additional fare for an extended journey (fare for new destination minus fare for previous destination) has to be paid at customer care centre of destination station before making an exit from AFC gates (automatic fare collection). After paying the additional fare, a new Paper QR ticket will be issued for exit purpose.

If you are a Maha card holder, the applicable fare for journey will be automatically deducted at the time of exit.

14. Can I get refund of Single Journey Ticket?

    No, but in cases of disruption in services (unusual delay in train running due to incident/accident), ticket can be refunded.

    16. What should I do if I lose my Ticket during journey?

    You may approach Customer Care Centre of your destination station. You will be treated without ticket & shall be charged Maximum Fare of System + Rs.50/-(Penalty).

    In case later on Ticket is recovered, no refund is permissible.

    17. How many people can travel on a single Maha card?

    Only one person is authorized to travel on one card at a time.

    18. What are the benefits of Nagpur Metro Smart card?

    The use of Maha card offer following benefits:

  • Passenger can avail 10% discount on every Journey.
  • Student upto graduation level can avail 30% discount on every Journey.
  • Save time from daily purchase of Single Journey Ticket.
  • Avoid standing in queue for purchase of Single Journey Ticket.
  • Provides freedom of choice of originating and destination station.

    21. What are criteria for ticket charges of a child?

    Children upto 3 feet (90 cms) height are allowed to travel free if accompanied with adult. The child is to be carried in arms (above the gate flap level) to avoid possibility of flaps hitting the child while Entry/Exit at AFC gates. Children above 3 feet (90 cms) will be charged full fare.

    Maha card can be recharged from paid/unpaid area of a station.

    23. What precautions are to be taken while using Maha card?

    Show your card at the entry gate, every valid entry is to be followed by a valid exit. During the exit, take a look on the display screen of AFC gate for fare deduction.

    24. Is there any time limit within which I should exit from the destination station after entering from any station?

    Yes,

    26. How can I check the available balance in my Maha card?

    The balance available on Maha card can be checked at Ticket Reader available near Customer Care Centre at a station.

    27. What is the minimum balance required on Maha card to enter into the system for travel?

    A minimum balance of Rs 40/- is required to enter in station.

    28. Is there any Day Pass for unlimited travel?

    Yes

    29. What is Day Pass and how can I get it?

    Day Passes are available with unlimited rides based on 01 day validity period from the date of sale. A Day Pass can be purchased from Customer Care Centre of any Station. Day Pass can be purchased for Rs.100/-.

    30. Is there any time limit for exiting from the metro station after entering at any station with a Day Pass?

    Yes

    31. What are the payment mode(s) available at Nagpur Metro’s Ticket Counters?

    You can pay money for any transaction through following mode:

  • In Cash
  • Credit/Debit Card by swapping on POS machines available at Customer Care Centre
  • UPI by scanning the available QR code at the available Customer Care Centre/TVM/Ticket Counter.
  • 32. If passenger has made any transaction through Credit/Debit Card and confirmation slip is not generated, will the service be provided to passenger?

    No, service will not be provided to passenger. Nagpur Metro’s operator will note down the reference number, amount, date & time of transaction and last four digit of card number to process the refund (If the amount is deducted from passenger account).

    33. How many journeys per day are allowed in a Day Pass?

    Unlimited rides for the day of purchase on 1 day validity Day Pass.

    34. Can I get return journey Ticket?

    No, Return Journey Ticket is not available in Nagpur Metro.

    35. What should I do if the Ticket is not accepted (error occurs) at the Entry/Exit gates at the Originating/Destination station?

    You may contact Customer Care Centre with your ticket for assistance.

    36. What could be the reasons of Maha card getting damage?

    Maha card should be handled with care. Don’t expose them to extreme temperatures, moisture, bend or keep near the magnets.

    39. How to get assistance for a sick person while travelling in Metro Train?

    Passenger Emergency Alarm are provided on every alternate door of Metro Train. By operating this, the problem can be informed to Train Operator. Next station will be informed to provide /arrange prompt medical assistance.

    40. How can I get wheel chair at a Metro station?

    While entering at station contact Customer Care Centre for assistance. Staff will arrange the wheel chair at entry and exit station or you may also contact 24x7 Maha metro Helpline number so that it can be provided on your arrival at station.

    41. Whether toilet facilities are available in train or stations?

    Toilet facility is not available inside Metro Trains. However, toilet facilities are available at metro stations in paid/unpaid area.

    42. What about medical facilities?

    First Aid facility is available at all stations. For any medical emergency, ambulance service is also arranged through 102, 108.

    43. How much weight is allowed with a person while travelling on Nagpur Metro?

    One bag containing personal belongings not exceeding 80 cm x 50 cm x 30 cm in size and 25 Kg in gross weight is permitted. Baggage in the form of bundles are not permitted.

    44. What is Passenger Emergency Alarm?

    It is a communication system provided in train for Communication between passenger and Train Operator in case of some emergencies.

    46. How do I know about last train timings to my destination station?

    The last train timings towards all terminals are displayed at every Customer Care Centre of all Metro stations or you may contact 24x7 Nagpur Metro Helpline number 18002700557. Kindly get assistance from on duty staff before making entry in paid area.

    47. What are the operating hours of Nagpur Metro?

    Metro services are generally available from 06:00 AM to 11:00 PM

    48. From which station can I catch a train for domestic/international Airport?

    For domestic/international Airport, passenger can use Airport Metro station.

    49. What is the frequency of trains?

    Time interval between two consecutive trains varies from 10 minutes to 15 minutes.

    50. While I was trying to get into the train why the train operator closed the train doors which almost hit me?

    Train stops on platform for the given dwell times & before the train doors start closing a warning sound is always played which lasts for about 2 to4 seconds. For your own safety, when you hear the sound for door closing you are required to stand off the train immediately. You should never try to enter in train while doors are closing as you may get hurt and it will unnecessarily delay the train. Moreover, obstructing door-closing is a punishable offense.

    51. Is free drinking water available at stations?

    Yes, free drinking water facilities are available at all the metro stations

    52. May I bring an open baby stroller into the Metro premises?

    When entering the premises customers should hold up their children and fold strollers.

    53. Is there any separate queue for ladies/senior citizens?

    Only for ladies, separate queue is available for security check. Except this, no separate queues are available for ladies/Sr. citizens at any other location.

    54. Where can I get Nagpur Metro route map?

    Route maps are pasted at Customer Care Centres at all stations. You can also download the same from Nagpur Metro website.

    55. How do you decide the temperature setting of air conditioning in the trains?

    It is decided on the basis of ambient temperature and adequate level of comfort to the passengers.

    56. Are there ladies coaches available in Nagpur Metro?

    Yes, Nagpur Metro has one separate ladies coach in each train to ensure safe rides for women.

    Concerned civic agencies and municipal corporations are responsible for cleanliness outside metro station.
